Just For Youth
Application Quick List

Youth Commitment

We are committed to getting young people involved with Employees Credit Union and Kaufman County Credit Union, a branch of ECU.  We have so much to offer!

Youth is the lifeline to our future, and it is of great importance to our organizations to make sure the young people who are members, as well as prospective members, have the opportunity to learn about financial literacy.  There are so many topics we can help with; budgeting, goal setting and saving.  Unfortunately these topics are rarely covered in the school curriculum, and they are so important in establishing a healthy financial future.

We have a "Financial Literacy" workbook that we would be glad to share with parents and/or high school students.  It is approved by the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE).  The Credit Union National Association, Inc. and America's Credit Unions have adopted this program, and it is used in all 50 states.  The program includes everything you need to know for essential money management skills and can be absorbed quickly and easily.  Young people can acquire important, practical personal finance knowledge that will positively impact virtually every area of their lives today and throughout their lifetime.  It will be our pleasure to help you get your young people started on the road to financial security.  Our credit unions will endeavor to offer the products and services that will serve their needs.
