Employees Credit Union is a credit union chartered by the State of Texas. ECU operates under the laws and regulations of the State and is regulated by the Credit Union Department of the State. ECU was originally organized in 1952 in Texarkana, Texas to serve only the employees and families of the East Texas Motor Freight System. Today, however, ECU serves employees of approximately 160 select employee groups, most of which could not have credit union services because of the size of the company.

ECU is a full service financial cooperative offering practically any financial service offered by the "Mega Banks" but at rates and fees much lower than the larger institutions. We invite you to compare our fees and rates by comparison of our required disclosures with those of any other financial institution, all of which are required by law to provide upon request.

ECU services are available to any group of employees or members of associations not currently served by another credit union.
